In many ways, we were very thankful to be selected as one of the top-70 Indiana companies, to say nothing of the considerable honor that comes with it. But to be ranked #1 was rather humbling... as we shared the ballroom, the stage and the honors that evening with many companies and people that we know and respect.
Having taken the challenging Best Places survey, we were genuinely prepared to be overlooked. Here’s why: much of what makes E-gineering a great place to work isn’t defined by the survey questions, or their answers, or much of that conventional paradigm.
And while a big part of us was surprised and shocked, it did - at the same time - just confirm what we’ve already known for awhile. This really is a great place to come and work every day, a great place to build a career and raise a family, or just hang out. In fact, just before one of our most recent employees joined us, we noted that he wouldn’t just become another good employee, but a good friend. It’s like that here, all the way around. One of the most significant reasons E-gineering is a great place to work for employees is because of the employees. And when you have an environment like that, it means great things for customers, projects and colleagues. And it means great things at home, too.
