In an era where data is a crucial asset for any organization, our client faced a common yet significant challenge: disparate systems and inconsistent data management practices across three critical departments. Our Solution
E-gineering was contracted to leverage our expertise in Business Analysis and Business Intelligence (BA/BI). Our objective was to design, build, and implement a comprehensive unified case management system. As a pivotal member of the project team, E-gineering played a dual role: acting as a liaison among business units, the IT department, the project team, and the implementation partner, and spearheading the efforts in data cleaning, standardization, and the strategic design of reports and data visualizations.
Utilizing a robust technology stack including SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, Tableau, and Excel, our team partnered with a third-party vendor to develop a custom application built on the Salesforce platform. This collaboration aimed to address the complex workflows and business processes inherent within the organization, ensuring that the new system could meet the diverse needs of internal groups.
The Process
E-gineering’s involvement began at the onset of the requirements gathering phase and extended through to the end-user testing phase, just before the project’s completion. Throughout this journey, we faced and overcame numerous challenges, including navigating security constraints, integrating multiple internal and external data sources, and connecting disparate data points for comprehensive reporting. Despite these hurdles, our commitment to open communication, creative problem-solving, and a user-centric approach enabled us to devise effective solutions.
